DIAEROM-N is a synergistic formula of neomycin sulfate, kaolin and pectin. Neomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside that is not absorbed orally, performing its bactericidal action directly on the intestinal lumen on the frequent etiological agents of diarrhea. Kaolin and pectin provide absorbent and protective properties of the intestinal mucosa against toxins and irritants; thus achieving an ideal product to counteract diarrhea.
DIAEROM-N is indicated for poultry, swine, cattle and equines in the treatment of acute diarrheal processes of bacterial origin produced by susceptible strains of Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp. Coadjuvant in the treatment of nonspecific diarrhea and food poisoning. Swine: Enzootic pneumonia, Pasteurella multocida and Corynebacterium pyogenes; erysipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae; Atrophic rhinitis and swine dysentery. Arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosynoviae and Staphylococcus spp.
